Rubus deliciosus 는 1.5m(5ft), 드물게는 3m(10ft)까지 자라는 낙엽 관목 또는 덩굴로서 줄기가 아치형 입니다 . 많은 Rubus 종과 달리 꽃 줄기는 다년생입니다. 나무껍질은 벗겨지고 벗겨진다. 잎은 단순하고(속의 대부분의 다른 종처럼 복합적이지 않음) 길이 3.3~5cm, 폭 3.3~5cm이고 3개의 얕은 둥근 돌출부(때로는 잎이 없거나 5개로 갈라짐)가 있으며 밑 부분은 털이 없습니다. 꽃은 지름 3.8~6cm이고 향기가 있으며 지름 1.5~3cm의 흰색 꽃잎 5개가 있습니다.
열매는 진한 빨간색이며 직경은 10-13mm입니다. 다소 드라이하고 평가가 높지는 않지만 맛이 맛있다고 합니다. [6] [7] [8] 야생 형태는 일반적으로 매력적이지 않은 열매를 맺습니다. [9]

콜로라도 , 뉴멕시코 , 오클라호마 팬핸들 , 와이오밍 의 로키 산맥 에 있는 관목 과 바위 경사면 에 서식합니다 . 텍사스 팬핸들(Texas Panhandle) 과 사우스다코타 (South Dakota) 의 블랙 힐스(Black Hills )에도 고립된 인구가 있다는 보고도 있습니다 . [12]

Rubus deliciosus is a North American species of flowering plant in the rose family Rosaceae, native to the United States. Common names include the delicious raspberry,[2] boulder raspberry,[3] Rocky Mountain raspberry[4] or snowy bramble.[5]
Description[edit]
Rubus deliciosus is a deciduous shrub or vine growing to 1.5 m (5 ft), rarely 3 m (10 ft), with arching stems. Unlike many species of Rubus, the flowering stems are perennial. The bark is flaky and peeling. The leaves are simple (not compound, like most other species in the genus), 3.3–5 cm long and broad, with three shallowly rounded lobes (occasionally unlobed or five-lobed), becoming glabrous beneath. The flowers are 3.8–6 cm diameter, fragrant, with five white petals 1.5–3 cm across.
The fruit is dark red, 10–13 mm diameter; it is rather dry and not highly valued, but the flavor is said to be delicious.[6][7][8] The wild forms generally have unappealing fruit.[9]
Distribution[edit]
It inhabits scrub and rocky slopes[10][6][11] in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, New Mexico, the Oklahoma Panhandle, and Wyoming. There are also reports of isolated populations in the Texas Panhandle and in the Black Hills of South Dakota.[12]
Cultivation[edit]
Rubus deliciosus requires well drained soil in full sun. It is hardy to USDA zone #5 (-20 °F; -29 °C). It is propagated by cuttings in July or August.[8]
Hybrids[edit]
It has been hybridized in cultivation with the very closely related (and possibly conspecific) Rubus trilobus of southern Mexico. This hybrid was introduced by the English plant collector Collingwood Ingram as R. × tridel (Flowering bramble). It is popular as an ornamental plant in gardens, having larger flowers up to 8 cm diameter.[13]
The cultivar R. × tridel 'Benenden' has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.[14]
