Police responded to a call in the 0-100 block of Lorne Avenue at 5:18 p.m. and found one victim at the scene.

Police said there was no threat to the public and that they are investigating.

Monday’s was the fourth reported shooting incident in the city in the past four days.

Police are also investigating two shootings that happened early Saturday evening.

Police had said on the weekend that officers were called to the area of Morisset and Caldwell avenues, near Carlington Park, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday for reports of gunfire. There were no injuries reported following that shooting.

Less than 30 minutes later, officers responded to another shooting near Ledbury and Banff avenues, off south Bank Street, that left one man injured, police said. He was taken to hospital for emergency surgery.

Police said one man was arrested at the scene and faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm and possession for the purposes of trafficking. Police said a handgun was seized at the scene.

Police also said on the weekend they were working to locate two men in their investigation of a shooting in the ByWard Market in the early hours of Friday morning.

The police service said the shooting, which occurred on York Street, “left several people injured.” No updates on their conditions were provided by police.

On Friday, police had said they received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting east of Sussex Drive at about 2:20 a.m.

Three men were found with gunshot wounds and were treated and taken to hospital by paramedics. They were in serious but stable condition with injuries that were not life-threatening, the Ottawa Paramedic Service said at the time.

Investigators later learned that two other men may have been injured in the shooting, police said.

One went to a hospital outside of Ottawa for treatment, police said. Police said the fifth possible victim was also located.

Police said Sunday that Michael Meehan, 28, is wanted for multiple charges including aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon, four charges of assault with a weapon, and four charges of pointing a firearm.

A second person, Tyler Meehan, 25, is wanted on an assault charge in relation to the investigation, police said.
