Surrey RCMP say shortly before midnight officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle fatal collision, near the intersection of 192nd street and the Langley bypass.
A brown Nissan SUV was travelling westbound on 56 Avenue when it entered the Langley bypass and collided with an eastbound Honda sedan.
The male driver of the Honda died. The driver of the Nissan is in police custody. Alcohol and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors to the collision, according to Mounties.
