Myles Sanderson was arrested Wednesday afternoon and taken into police custody near the town of Rosthern, 130 kilometers southwest of the James Smith Cree Nation community, one of the locations where the attack took place, according to CBC News.

At around 3 p.m. local time, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) issued an alert for a person armed with a knife traveling in a vehicle, last seen in Wakaw, about 90 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon.

Half an hour later, security forces arrested and took into custody Sanderson, who had been wanted since last Sunday, when he and his brother - found dead on Sunday - Damien Sanderson, attacked dozens of people at various points in central Canada, according to 'The Globe and Mail'.

Myles Sanderson now faces three counts of first-degree murder and is a suspect in a stabbing attack that left 11 people dead, including his brother.
